FAQ - Qiu

  • My Qiu only glows purple

    Your Qiu is in intensity-coded biofeedback (light/dark). This biofeedback mode is intended for people with red/green color blindness. To switch back to red/green coded biofeedback, you must reconfigure the brightness settings. There are two ways to do this:

  • My Qiu cannot be connected to the PC

    Sometimes it can happen that the connection between Qiu and PC via USB does not work properly right away. Here are some tips:

  • My Qiu flashes red when switched on

    If the Qiu flashes red once, the device indicates that the batteries are getting weaker. If it flashes red twice, it means that the batteries need to be changed soon. The Qiu flashes red three times when the batteries are exhausted. In this case, you should change the batteries as soon as possible to avoid major deviations in the date and time function.

  • My Qiu flashes red when connected to the PC

    If the Qiu flashes red once, the device indicates that the batteries are getting weaker. If it flashes red twice, it means that the batteries need to be changed soon. The Qiu flashes red three times when the batteries are exhausted. In this case, you should change the batteries as soon as possible to avoid major deviations in the date and time function.

  • My Qiu won't turn on anymore

    In this case, you should change the batteries. Before changing the batteries, unplug the USB cable from the USB port if the Qiu is connected to the PC.

  • My Qiu only glows green - no matter what I do

    Your Qiu is probably set to a level of difficulty (rhythm level) that is too low for you. In order for the Qiu to be able to offer dynamic HRV biofeedback, the device must be correctly set up for the user. The rhythm level can be set via the configuration

  • My Qiu only glows red - no matter what I do

    Your Qiu is probably set to a level of difficulty (rhythm level) that is too high for you. In order for the Qiu to offer dynamic HRV biofeedback, the device must be correctly adjusted to the user. The rhythm level can be set via the configuration

  • My Qiu keeps turning blue during the biofeedback exercise

    If the Qiu lights up blue, it is signaling that it is looking for a pulse signal.

  • My Qiu keeps turning blue despite using an ear clip

    There are two possible reasons for this:

  • My Qiu constantly needs new batteries

    In this case, please make sure that the Qiu does not remain connected to the PC via USB unnecessarily. As long as a USB connection is present, power is consumed from the batteries.

  • Can the Qiu be used by multiple people?

    The Qiu saves every exercise performed in the internal memory and the data can then be read out via the BioSign HRV app and uploaded to a myQiu account. From then on, an evaluation and a history overview of the values achieved is possible, for example, via the app.
