The Qiu can also be used with an ear clip as an alternative to the integrated sensor. This is particularly useful if the internal sensor does not provide a sufficiently good signal to reliably calculate the heart rate (cold hands, reduced blood flow to the hand or fingers). We also recommend the ear clip if the Qiu is to be used by children or if it is to be taken off for HRV biofeedback independently of the pulse detection.
How does the Qiu work?
The Qiu is an innovative HRV biofeedback system developed by German physicians over many years of research. The Qiu measures heart rate variability (HRV), which expresses the vital connection between the heart and brain. The current functional status is visualized as color-coded (red/green) feedback. Through the biofeedback effect, the user achieves a strengthening of the heart-brain axis (heart rate variability), which triggers numerous positive changes in the body and psyche.

How do I use the Qiu?
The Qiu is battery operated. It is placed in the hand to measure heart rate variability. With the help of its built-in optical pulse sensor, the Qiu measures the pulse on the hand or fingers - no wiring is necessary. After the Qiu has recorded and analyzed your pulse, it displays your biofeedback in the upper half of the sphere with a red or green light. Individually adjustable, blue LED signals give you the respiration rate, with the help of which you should try to get green biofeedback.
